This book takes the form of a primer on the way architecture can accompany, and even come up with, in its own right, innovative practices in the field of education. Each of its chapters deals with a school space: the classroom, the playground, the corridors, the hall, etc., in the form of interviews with architects. Drawing on the Le Penhuel & Associés agency’s extensive experience in the design and construction of this type of programme, the book explores the spatial levers that exist to make the school evolve, together with the potential obstacles and pitfalls. In addition to the text, my illustrations allow the reader, whether a student, parent, teacher or architect, to become acquainted with the users and the problems posed by the varied spaces that make up a school.
